Freelance tax draft: roll up labor income from Alipay / WeChat CSVs

Updated 2026-10-21 · ~7 min · pre-filing self-check for freelancers

Accountants and tax tools usually want a monthly income draft, not raw wallet dumps: labor-related gross, refunds, and main payers. Here is a repeatable CSV workflow. Not tax advice - follow your local filing rules.

Minimum draft columns

ColumnUse
monthYYYY-MM
gross_incomeLabor-related income total (+)
refundsRefunds to clients (+ means money returned)
net_incomegross − refunds
top_payersCounterparties contributing most of the month
notesContracts / invoices to attach

Build it from wallet exports

  1. Export Alipay + WeChat for the filing period (how-to).
  2. Clean to standard fields; merge and dedupe transfers.
  3. Keep income rows that look like client/labor payments (category + note heuristics).
  4. Group by month and counterparty; write the draft table above.

Exclude personal transfers, red packets, and wallet top-ups unless they are truly business income.
